Comments about the flight
"I did not expect to feel it in my whole body." Some participants expect a stomach sensation like a rollercoaster and discover that positive G is a full-body weight, and that their arms and head are the parts that notice first.
"The roll was nothing, the loop was everything." The exact reverse of what people predict on the ground. The aileron roll looks violent from outside and stays near +1G inside; the pull into a loop is where the load is.
"It was over too quickly." The time in the air can feel short even when the programme is tiring. Check the maximum flight time in your chosen package.
What people criticise
- The drive. A hundred kilometres from Warsaw is a real cost in a day, and nobody enjoys it. We are not going to move the airfield, but we do recommend a morning slot so the rest of the day is yours.
- Weather rescheduling. The most common genuine complaint, and unavoidable. Aerobatics is flown under visual rules in daylight, and we would rather move a slot than fly a compromised sequence. People who booked around travel find this hardest.
- The video is an extra. A fair criticism. It is 299 PLN, it has to be ordered before the flight, and people who skipped it sometimes regret it. We do not bundle it because a meaningful number of participants do not want it.
- Not flying together. Couples occasionally book expecting to fly as a pair, and the aeroplane carries the pilot and one participant. It is stated in the package description and it still surprises people.
The thing we hear from pilots
Licensed pilots who book the Masterclass almost always say a version of the same sentence in the debrief: that they had no idea how much of their own aeroplane's envelope they had never used. Several arrive as participants and leave asking about the rating course.
